The central topic of the consultations of European countries in Munich was the seizure of Russian assets to continue financing Ukraine if US President Donald Trump stops it. This is reported by Bloomberg.
"The topic of the seizure of these assets was the central subject of discussion in Munich, and American officials have made it clear to their European counterparts that Congress will no longer approve any additional aid packages for Ukraine," the article quoted by the "Country" publication says.
It is noted that Germany and "some countries" spoke out against it.
It is expected that the topic of the seizure of Russian assets will continue to be discussed at the meetings of the leadership of the EU countries, which are due to take place the other day.
As reported by EADaily, French President Emmanuel Macron gathers European leaders on February 17 for an emergency summit in Paris. This was stated at the Munich Security Conference by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, Politico reported.
