Flags over the U.S. Capitol were lowered, according to recordings of online broadcasts from surveillance cameras.

According to the newspaper Chron, the flag was lowered in memory of Democratic Congresswoman Sheila Lee. The publication notes that the flag will remain at half-mast at least until Saturday, July 27.
