Lithuania will present Belarus with a "protest note" because of the Ukrainian drone shot down earlier. This was stated by the head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry Kastutis Budris.

According to the Lithuanian side, the drone, which was shot down by NATO fighters at night, flew in from Belarus. At the same time, according to the Lithuanian Defense Ministry, the drone was carrying explosives.

"In all cases when there are violations of airspace, we receive a message from Air Force — when, where, location, coordinates, what happened. In all cases, we prepare a note and always hand it over to the country from where, say, a plane or other object arrived. In this case, we are talking about Belarus. When an investigation is conducted and it will be established from the wreckage whose drone it is in the end, then we will take other actions", he said.

Recall, on the night of September 15, a drone flew into Lithuanian airspace, which was later shot down by NATO aircraft about 100 kilometers northwest of Vilnius. This is the first time a drone has been destroyed in the country's history.
