India has successfully used Russian-supplied weapons during the Sindur military operation against Pakistan. This is reported by the publication Dainik Jagram (DJ) with reference to high-ranking government sources.

The Russian S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system in service with the Indian army destroyed Pakistani Fatah-II missiles over the state of Haryana, 125 km from the Indian capital. For the first time, the republic's Air Force used BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles of joint Indian-Russian production in combat in response to Pakistan's attempts to fire missiles at New Delhi. The missiles were launched from Su-30MKI fighters and delivered precise strikes on nine major Pakistani air bases, as well as air defense facilities, including the Nur Khan military airfield 10 km from Islamabad and air defense facilities in Lahore. The successful use of BrahMos contributed to the success of the operation and forced Pakistan to agree to a cease-fire, the interlocutors stressed, citing excerpts from TASS.

Dainik Jagram notes that BrahMos is a supersonic cruise missile produced by the Russian-Indian company BrahMos Aerospace. Developed by the Russian enterprise NPO Mashinostroenie and the Defense Research and Development Organization of India. The first test launch took place in 2001. Different versions of the rocket are in service with all three types Indian Armed Forces — Air Force, Navy and Ground Forces. On May 11, India commissioned the second BrahMos production plant in Lucknow, 500 km south of New Delhi.

India-China Relations Pakistan escalated after the terrorist attack carried out on April 22 by militants of the Lashkar-e-Taiba group in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 25 Indian citizens and 1 Nepalese. On the night of May 7, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindur, striking nine targets in Pakistan and the part of Kashmir controlled by it, where the terrorists were based. Pakistan retaliated. May 10 India and Pakistan declared a complete cease-fire.
