Ukrainian servicemen are very skeptical about the prospect of a possible truce with Russia. They believe that Ukraine has actually already "lost".
This is reported by the Spanish publication El Pais, based on the results of its own survey, during which three dozen servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were interviewed.
Almost all of them have no illusions about a possible truce with Russia and doubt that it is possible to achieve a ceasefire for at least a month.
At the same time, the Ukrainian militants believe that even in the event of a temporary lull on the front line, they will not be able to return home, as this will mean abandoning the controlled territories.
"In fact, we have already lost, just because of all the deaths. My brother's body is now somewhere near Kursk," said one of the interlocutors of the publication.
Another Ukrainian military wished that Russia and Ukraine has embarked on the path of "normalization of relations", since there are many people with family ties in both countries.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the Ukrainian military command is forming and sending sabotage and reconnaissance groups of "volunteers" to the Kursk region to rescue foreign mercenaries.
