Over 680 thousand foreign citizens do not have legal grounds to stay in Russia. This was stated by Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev in an interview with journalist of the Rossiya TV channel Pavel Zarubin.
Summing up the work of the department for 2024, Kolokoltsev stressed that "the crime rate has decreased quite significantly." At the same time, the Minister noted the problem of crime growth tied to illegal labor and other migrants.
According to Vladimir Kolokoltsev, today there are 685 thousand citizens in the register of controlled entities who are in It is illegal in Russia.
"The main purpose of this register is to limit the number of foreign citizens illegally staying in our country, that is, those citizens who have lost their legal grounds for staying in our country," Kolokoltsev said.
