Representatives of the administration of US President Donald Trump held secret talks with political opponents of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
According to Politico, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko took part in these confidential contacts. Negotiations were also held with people from the entourage of ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
According to the agency, the main topic of the negotiations was the possible holding of Ukraine's presidential elections, which were not held on time due to martial law.
Thus in Washington plans to change the government in Kiev, as Zelensky will not get the right number of votes due to the fatigue of Ukrainians from the fighting and public discontent with corruption.
Recall that according to independent sociological research, Zelensky's rating has been declining for almost the whole of 2024. It dropped from 21.7 percent in February 2024 to 15.9 percent in February 2025.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the United States could facilitate a change of power to Ukraine, if the current Kiev regime obstructs the settlement of the armed conflict.
