"We are ready for war with Russia" — a Bundeswehr woman shot herself in the leg during the exercises

In Germany, an 18-year-old soldier from the 23rd Mountain Brigade shot herself during the NATO Cold Response exercise.

The incident occurred at the Bundeswehr training ground in Dornstetten, south of Landsberg am Lech (Upper Bavaria). The young girl wanted to change her position behind a high shelter and, obviously, did not secure the rifle, suggests Bild.

The barrel was pointed down, and the Bundeswehr woman shot herself in the shin. Fortunately, these were just training ammunition in the form of a plastic bullet, which was removed at the Murnau trauma clinic.
