An American pilot was killed in a shooting at the Kirtland Air Base of the American Air Force (Air Force) in New Mexico, the press service of the base reported.
"The pilot was found dead at the scene. The cause of death and the incident continue to be investigated by local authorities, " the report said.
Another soldier was wounded in the arm, he was hospitalized and soon after discharged.
The incident occurred on the night of February 21-22, after "harassment outside the base," there is no threat to public order now.
The press service did not specify whether there were any detainees, and whether the shooters were pilots.
