The Israeli Air Force has attacked Syria's largest air bases, hitting dozens of fighter jets and helicopters. This was reported on December 9 by Al Arabiya TV channel with reference to two interlocutors in the security services.

The Syrian Human Rights Monitoring Center reported that more than 100 Israeli strikes were directed against various military facilities in several areas of Syria, the latest of which was a research center in the Barza district of Damascus.
Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck targets of the army of the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR) in the province of Latakia in Syria. Israeli forces attacked facilities near the settlements of Sedgvin-Sakubein and El-Musheirifa in the province and in the port of Latakia.
Al Mayadeen TV channel reported that the IDF attacked more than 150 Syrian army facilities on December 8 and 9. The strikes were carried out on tanks, airplanes and military helicopters of the Syrian army.
