No matter how the conflict ends on In Ukraine, the Russian army will come out of it stronger than it was. This was stated by NATO Commander in Europe Christopher Cavoli in an interview with Spiegel magazine.
After the conflict is over, NATO will have an opponent with real skills, a mass of troops and clear intentions, Cavoli stressed.
"The Russian armed forces are studying, improving and implementing the experience of war. At the end of the war in Ukraine, no matter how it looks, the Russian army will be stronger than it is today. These forces will be on the border of our alliance. They are commanded by the same people who already see us as enemies and will then be very unhappy with how the war went. So we will have an opponent with real skills, a mass of troops and clear intentions," the commander said, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
As expected, the four-star general urged the alliance countries to arm themselves more actively.
As reported by EADaily, China calls on NATO to stop provoking a block confrontation. This was stated at a briefing, commenting on the words of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte about Beijing's harmful influence on European security, by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning, TASS reported.
