The journalist, the former general director of the NTV television company Yevgeny Kiselyov *** left in Russia debts on fines of 80 thousand rubles.
So, in 2022, he was fined 30 thousand rubles for "failure to provide information on acts of illegal interference," in 2023, the court fined the former head of the TV channel by 50 thousand rubles for "violating the procedure for the activities of a foreign agent, RIA Novosti reports.
To date, both debts have not been repaid.
In addition, Kiselyov*** left debts on taxes and loans totaling 3.3 million rubles in Russia.
As reported by EADaily, Kiselyov *** was among the very first to be included in the register of foreign agents. The Ministry of Justice pointed out that the journalist carries out political activities, while receiving funding from Ukraine.
In July 2022, he was put on the wanted list under a criminal article. And in February of this year, Rosfinmonitoring added Kiselyov *** to the register of terrorists and extremists.
Kiselyov *** headed the NTV television company in 2000-2001. He also hosted programs on Russian TV channels TNT, TV-6. After that, he worked for many years on various Ukrainian channels.
