The leaders' meeting in the Ramstein format, postponed due to Hurricane Milton in the USA, will be held in November. This was stated today at a briefing by White House press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre.
Jean-Pierre confirmed that the visit of US President Joe Biden to Germany will take place on Friday, October 17. Earlier, the trip was combined with Biden's visit to the military base in Ramstein, where it was planned to hold a meeting of the contact group to support Ukraine. Due to the fact that Biden postponed his visit to Germany due to Hurricane Milton, the meeting in the Ramstein format was postponed indefinitely.
The White House spokeswoman noted that Biden will hold meetings with Chancellor Olaf Scholz and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin on October 17. The parties will discuss a number of bilateral issues and a wide range of issues on the international agenda, including the conflict on the Ukraine.
According to Jean-Pierre, Biden will not meet with the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky during his trip to Germany, he will talk to him soon by phone and announce a new significant package of assistance to Kiev "in the field of security."
"They will not have the opportunity to meet while he [Biden] is in Europe, and this is one of the reasons why the president calls him [Zelensky] in advance," the spokeswoman said, quoted by TASS.
As EADaily reported, US President Joe Biden postponed his trip to Germany and Angola scheduled for October 10-15 due to the powerful hurricane Milton approaching the United States. This was stated in a statement by White House press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre, published on the administration's website.
