In the case of former Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov, a house with an area of 2.5 thousand square meters and a bathhouse in Tver region, RIA Novosti reports with reference to court documents.
"The construction of a residential building and a bathhouse... was carried out ... as a bribe," the agency quotes an excerpt from the materials.
This property is registered to Volzhsky Bereg LLC, which is managed by the defendant in the case, Sergei Borodin.
Ivanov was arrested at the end of April 2024, he is in jail. According to TASS, the amount of the bribe imputed to him is 1 billion 185 million rubles. The investigation believes that the ex-deputy minister provided assistance to companies in return for the gratuitous performance of work at its facilities. Under the article on receiving a bribe on an especially large scale (part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code) Ivanov faces up to 15 years in prison. Ivanov pleads not guilty, he refused a deal with the investigation.
Borodin is also accused of receiving a bribe on a particularly large scale. According to the investigation, he received money "during contract and subcontracting work for the needs" of the Ministry of Defense.
In addition to them, the co-founder of the company "Olympcitistroy" Alexander Fomin is on trial. He is charged with assisting in giving a bribe.
