Russian-Armenian film director, screenwriter and producer Sarik Andreasyan has lost the right to drive a vehicle for drunk driving. This is reported in the case file on the portal of the unified information space of magistrates of Moscow.
The director was found guilty of an administrative offense under Article 12.8, Part 1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Driving a vehicle by a driver in a state of intoxication).
According to the ruling on the case, Andreasyan was stopped by law enforcement officers in May of this year when he was driving along Tsvetnoy Boulevard in Moscow. He was asked to undergo an examination for alcohol intoxication. According to the results of the study, the presence of ethyl alcohol in the exhaled air exceeded the concentration of 0.160 mg/l. Andreasyan did not dispute the results of the examination. After that, the director handed over control of the car to his wife, who arrived at the place of detention.
It is noted that the committed offense is considered gross, and the judge also took into account that Andreasyan had previously been brought to administrative responsibility for committing a traffic offense. At the same time, the specific circumstances of the case were also taken into account, as well as the fact that the director paid the previously imposed fines in a timely manner. Andreasyan was sentenced to a minimum penalty: a fine of 30 thousand rubles and deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for one year and six months.
At the same time, Andreasyan himself claims in the telegram channel that he drank a glass of wine a day before he got behind the wheel that day.
"My success is very difficult for many people, and therefore they are trying to take away my rights, surround me in broad daylight and arrange shmon cars and me, scratch my wife's car. As a well-mannered person, I understand well that someone asked very much," the director is indignant.
At the same time, Andreasyan claims that he did not see the result of the examination in his "eyes," and his lawyer has been suing about this for five months.
"People who know me are well aware that I am generally a non-drinker and have not been noticed using anything. I honestly admitted to the policeman that I had drunk a glass of wine the day before," Andreasyan explained.
As reported by EADaily, at the end of August, the actor of theater, cinema and voice acting, as well as TV presenter Boris Repetur, was deprived of his driver's license for non-compliance with the requirements of the rules of the road. What kind of offense the actor committed was not specified in the court report.
