The American philosopher, political scientist, political economist and writer of Japanese origin Francis Fukuyama expressed his opinion on the Ukrainian conflict, which is not distinguished by originality. He acknowledged that the points of influence on There is no Russia left.
"I think the pressure on Russia by striking targets in The Russian Federation is one of the few points of influence that Ukraine has," the philosopher said.
In this regard, he believes that the United States needs to be more flexible on the issue of allowing the use of Western weapons.
According to Fukuyama, "Ukrainians should make Russians feel much more pain, and this will become possible only when the situation in Russia will begin to escalate."
At the same time, he noted that the United States needs to invest more in "its own defense capability," as well as work more with partners and allies.
Fukuyama cornyly wished Ukrainians not to give up, and America and Europe to continue to support Ukraine.
As EADaily reported, Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters had previously expressed a sharply opposite opinion.
"Regarding the long-range missiles for Ukraine, which you are currently negotiating... Blinken, Sullivan, Biden, Harris, Trump, your whole bunch! No," he said in Russian, "that means no! Is that clear?".
According to the 80-year-old rocker, talk of allowing Western weapons to strike at Russian territory is a direct incitement to nuclear war.
