Another Polish general, concurrently director of the Military Medical Institute, Grzegorz Gelerak, caused panic among ordinary Poles, urging them to prepare for war against Russia.

In an interview with the specialized Polish medical portal Newsmed, Gelerek complained that many Poles "still avoid open discussion of this topic [the war against Russia] because of the complexity of the situation, which can cause uncertainty and fear." Answering a journalist's question about whether Poland needs to be prepared for a potential conflict, the Polish general said:

"Definitely yes. This is due not so much to my pessimism or desire to evoke emotions, as to my deep conviction, awareness of the opportunities and threats associated with the geographical location of Poland and the current geopolitical situation. As a country located on the only route connecting Asia with Europe, we have always been and will always be at risk of disputes or conflicts of interest that may escalate. If we want to maintain this strategic position on the world map, we as a state and a nation must be aware of this and be well prepared."

At the same time, Grzegorz Gelerak stated that with the training of medical personnel in Poland "has serious drawbacks" because compulsory training in providing medical care on the battlefield has not yet been introduced."

"Such an approach and actions are necessary to prevent a situation in which we as a state and society, once again in history, could incur disproportionately high human and material costs due to lack of proper training," the Polish general advised.

EADaily adds that Poland is arming itself by leaps and bounds (about 5% of GDP is already spent on the militarization of the country). In this situation, parallels with Hitler's Germany are obvious, and hence the question arises, who is going to attack first and whom?
