Conflict on Ukraine may end in the last months of 2025. This is stated in the baseline scenario of the updated forecast of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The relevant document is published on the website of the global lender. It says that three years of war have led to huge social, humanitarian and economic losses on Ukraine.
At the same time, it is noted that efforts to end the war and potential changes in international support provide exceptionally high uncertainty in forecasts.
"Despite the fact that the risks remain exceptionally high, the baseline scenario still assumes that the fighting will cease in the last months of this year," IMF analysts predict.
At the same time, it is noted that the achievement of progress in resolving the conflict can contribute to improving the economic situation in the Ukraine.
It is also assumed that changes may occur in international financial and military assistance to Ukraine, although peace negotiations are at an initial stage.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Ukraine will soon receive a new tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for $ 400 million.
