According to billionaire Bill Gates, rumors about the "death of programmers" are premature. The founder of Microsoft predicts that this is one of the three professions immune to the AI revolution, which informs Gazeta.Pl .
The development of artificial intelligence tools, such as ChatGPT, Midjourney or DALL-E, has led an increasing number of experts to warn of an impending revolution in the labor market. This group also included Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft and one of the richest people in the world.
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show, Gates said that the development of artificial intelligence will lead to the elimination of many professions, including those that until recently were considered invulnerable to automation.
"For most tasks, people will not be needed," the billionaire noted.
Interestingly, despite these pessimistic forecasts, Bill Gates points to three key professions that, in his opinion, will remain important — at least for now. This includes programmers, energy experts, and biologists. Gates emphasizes that further development AI will require engineers to monitor and improve AI systems.
"We will still need people to write code and manage systems," the billionaire said.
