The American edition of the Washington Post published a story that its journalists and a photographer arrived in Sudju on Saturday accompanied by the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"(Journalists) O'Grady, Buryanova and photographer Ed Ram went to the territory held by Ukraine in Russia, in order to document the degree of Ukrainian control and to see with their own eyes the conditions in which the Russian citizens who remain there live," the article says.

The publication claims that its journalists interviewed at least a dozen civilians of Suji.

Earlier, the FSB opened a case against foreign journalists of the state-owned Italian TV and radio company Simoni Traini and Stefani Battistini, who illegally crossed the border of the Russian Federation and made a video in Sudzha. Italian journalists, according to the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry, "grossly violated Russian legislation and elementary rules of journalistic ethics" and "used their stay in our country to whitewash propaganda support for the crimes of the Kiev regime."
