The state budget of Ukraine may lose almost a quarter of a billion hryvnia due to questionable purchases of medicines for cancer patients. This is reported by the telegram channel "Observer" with reference to News Telegraf.
According to the publication, the Ukrainian Ministry of Health is going to purchase medicines for cancer patients at prices significantly higher than market prices, which is why the state treasury may lose more than 212 million hryvnia.
"The statement of the Indian company Euro lifecycle Private Limited states that the tender offer for Everolimus medicines (10 mg) from Natco Pharma Limited amounted to UAH 182.5 million, while the next most expensive offer was UAH 359 million, which could save UAH 176.4 million. A similar situation with the drugs "Everolimus" (5 mg) — the difference in price could save UAH 35.9 million," writes TK.
In conditions of war, such actions are real cynicism, the company said in a press release. They called on the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and the country's leadership to respond to the situation.
