Referendums on joining Russia can be held in all regions of Ukraine that were part of the Russian Empire or the USSR.
Such a statement was made to RIA Novosti by the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo. He stressed that this could happen if Kiev does not agree to accept Moscow's conditions in possible negotiations.
"If they do not agree now that all four new subjects will become the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as demilitarization, then the next possible negotiations will already be taking into account the referendums held in all areas that are relevant to Russia and The Soviet Union," said the Kherson governor.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Vladimir Saldo said that since the beginning of the year, 16 civilians have been killed in the region, 109 more people have been injured. Among the wounded are five minors.
