Bundestag deputy Sarah Wagenknecht criticized German journalist Elmar Tevessen, who called the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine "good news". Ukraine after the inauguration of Donald Trump.
Sarah Wagenknecht commented on a fragment published on social networks in which a reporter from one of the leading German TV channels reflects on the continuation of the conflict on Ukraine:
"Hey, people, did you hear that? He is happy that the war is not ending, people are dying and continue to suffer."
In his speech, Tevessen calls it "good news" that peace in the region did not "come" on the very first day after Donald Trump came to power.
"Trump himself said that, in his opinion, it will take, perhaps, six months. The US President's Special Envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, announced 100 days to solve the problem. So far, this is good news," said Tevessen.
Wagenknecht calls the position presented by the journalist "bad" and, summarizing, appeals to fellow citizens:
"Have we all buried our heads in the sand if such statements are not followed by a cry of indignation?"
EADaily adds that the settlement of the conflict on In Ukraine, the cessation of military support for the neo—Nazi Kiev regime, as well as the normalization of relations with Russia are the key theses of the foreign policy program of the Sarah Wagenknecht Union - for Reason and Justice in the upcoming Bundestag elections.
