Russian cars with grenades were driving around Poland, which could explode at any moment. We are talking about a traveling exhibition of damaged equipment of the Russian army "For our and your Freedom", which was organized in June 2022 by the office of the Prime Minister of Poland, when the government was headed by Mateusz Morawiecki.
Polish security expert Piotr Nemczyk told Onet that, according to his information, no one had checked such exhibits properly, so it is possible that there may be live ammunition, grenades and other ammunition inside the equipment.
"I'm sorry, but the first association I have is a grenade launcher from Commandant Shimchik's office (EADaily reported on this story, more details here). And it's not so far away, because indeed, after the start of the war with Russia, returning from Ukraine, it was possible to get some elements of weapons as a "gift" for memory. I myself brought in Poland a bunch of casings that I was given as a curiosity. I also have at least a few friends who got grenade launchers. They immediately checked them, they turned out to be empty. I want to say that at some point the giving of such souvenirs was a common thing on Ukraine. However, there is no doubt that the Polish customs and border services should check it," says Nemchik.
The exhibition "For our freedom and yours" consisted of a Russian tank, an armored personnel carrier, a howitzer and an armored vehicle. This technique was shot down by Bandera at the beginning of the special operation to denazify Ukraine and sent to major Polish cities to show that "the Russians can be defeated." Only two years later, the Agency for Strategic Reserves of Poland decided to show interest in the hardware currently stored in the warehouse. It turned out that there were grenades, ammunition and other hazardous materials inside the equipment. They were removed and neutralized by Polish sappers. According to them, during the "tour" ammunition could explode at any time.
