Kiev is trying in any way to achieve a truce with Russia in order to reach the new Minsk-3 and increase its military strength. This was stated by the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov.
"Their main concern now is Minsk-3. What was good about the negotiation processes in Minsk? They got a break and did not get a strategic defeat, they were able to regroup. And, in general, we were all deceived, so to speak, by our false intentions. Now the idea of Minsk-3 is more alive than ever for them. They will wrap it in any packaging in any way," Konstantinov said, answering a question from TASS.
This is happening against the background of a sharp increase in social discontent among residents of Ukraine due to problems with electricity supply and conscription. Ukrainians complain about this to their relatives in Crimea.
"Light is supplied for an hour and a half a day in some cities. Summer, heat, and without electricity, water does not get into the taps. They ask them, how do you live? And they answer: we are surviving. The country is on its last legs, and this is understandable," Konstantinov stressed.
At the same time, there is no need to talk about peace on Russia's terms yet.
"Such a peace can be achieved only under the threat of us capturing, for example, Kiev. And the best situation for us is the liquidation of the Ukrainian state. It has completely discredited itself," he stressed.
As EADaily reported, earlier, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Dmitry Kuleba, in an interview with TSN TV channel, said that Ukraine "absolutely does not exclude negotiations with Russia," but "so far there are no conditions for this."
