Six months later, a bus was found that had fallen underground at the Maykainzoloto mine in the Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan. This is reported by zakon.kz .

As the agency reports, on the eve of July 24, 2024, a bus was found at the Maykainzoloto mine in the Pavlodar region, which fell into the ground six months ago.

"Last night, during the excavation work, a rescue bus was found. Due to weather conditions (rain and wind) and the continuing threat of collapse, work is being carried out with extreme caution. Today, from 05:00 (03:00 Moscow time), search operations were resumed. At the moment, it was possible to get to the front of the car, the bumper and wheel are visible on the surface," the information of the regional administration says.

The tragedy occurred on January 4 of this year. In the Pavlodar region, on the territory of Maykainzoloto JSC, a bus carrying four rescuers fell into the cleaning space of an inactive mine. On the same day, two of the dead were found and brought to the surface. The bodies of 55-year-old driver of the operational vehicle Ayyp Tleubergenov and 36-year-old deputy platoon commander Aidos Shaimerden remained underground all this time.

Due to the great threat of repeated collapse on February 5, the search operation at the site of the collapse was suspended. Later, after repeated appeals from the relatives of the victims, the gold mining company announced that they were ready to make a trip to the bottom of the funnel to lower heavy equipment. But before that, it was necessary to once again conduct a geo-scan of the failure site, make an examination and develop a project for further work with an assessment of all possible risks.

Earlier, the body of the third rescuer of the four, Aidos Shaimerden, was found, who fell with the bus into the funnel of an old mine.

The body of the fourth rescuer has not yet been found.
