Polish border guards detained a Ukrainian woman transporting a serval disguised as a cat

Polish border guards prevented an attempt to take to their country from Ukraine has a rare animal — a serval, which is a representative of the feline family.

According to the newspaper Strana, the Ukrainian woman who transported the beast passed border control at home without any problems and tried to convince the Poles that she had an ordinary domestic cat in her carrier.

Since the owner did not have documents for the animal, it was taken out into the light of day for inspection, and the truth was immediately revealed — the serval is easily recognizable by its characteristic color and long paws.

As a result, the animal was seized from the Ukrainian woman, and a case was opened against her, since in the EU illegal transportation of endangered species across the border is punishable by imprisonment from 3 months to 5 years.
