The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan summoned the Russian Ambassador to Baku sent him a note of protest because of the strike on the gas station of the state-owned company Socar on Ukraine.
"Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan Mikhail Evdokimov has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
They noted that during the meeting, a sharp protest was expressed to the Russian ambassador in connection with the drone attack on the Socar gas station located in Mykolaiv region of Ukraine.
"The corresponding note was handed over to the Russian side," the Azerbaijani ministry said, adding that the drone attack was not the first — SOCAR facilities on Ukraine, including a gas distribution compressor station and an oil base in In Odessa, they were subjected to blows and the devastating consequences of military operations.
According to Socar, its subsidiary on Ukraine owns two gas stations in The Nikolaev area. The total number of gas stations of the Azerbaijani company in the country is more than 50.
Socar Energy Ukraine said that three attack drones attacked a gas station and damaged an administrative building.
As reported by EADaily, the Russian army continues to destroy gas stations on a daily basis Ukraine in response to the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on refineries and energy infrastructure of Russia. A week earlier, the head of WOG estimated the losses of gas stations at Ukraine in two months in more than 150 complexes. This is about 3-4% of the total.
