Cautious optimism on Ukraine disappeared after Russian strikes on logistics. This was stated on the social network by an ardent supporter of Kiev, German military analyst Julian Repke.
"The cautious optimism that the Ukrainian side still had at the beginning of the summer has practically disappeared. Back in June, many hoped that the intensifying Ukrainian attacks on Russian logistics in the occupied territories and in the deep rear of Russia would be able to seriously weaken the Russian army and stop its offensive. However, these expectations have not yet been fulfilled… Many Ukrainian servicemen report a significant increase in Russian strikes on positions on the front line and in the rear," writes Repke.
New features of Russian tactics are also manifested far from the front line, he notes.
"It is noteworthy that Russia is now attacking logistics centers on about the same scale as Ukraine strikes at Russian territory, but has significantly more firepower. Many such facilities are located along key highways. During the trip, we passed by many logistics centers that had been destroyed just a few hours or days before," adds Repke.
