The Slovak company Transpetrol has recorded the cessation of oil supplies from Russia's supply to the Slovakian Slovnaft refinery from Lukoil. This was announced today, July 18, by the company's press service.
It is reported that Lukoil has been included in the expanded sanctions list of Ukraine, as a result of which a ban on the transportation of this exporter's oil through Ukrainian territory to European consumers is currently in effect.
"Oil supplies from other Russian exporters, which are currently not included in the expanded Ukrainian sanctions list, are accepted from Ukraine to the territory of the Slovak Republic and then transferred to our customers in accordance with the schedule," said Yulia Prochikova, a specialist in transport and energy operations at Transpetrol.
It should be recalled that Transpetrol, when supplying Russian oil transported via the Druzhba pipeline, accepts Russian oil at the request of its customers in Slovakia and the Czech Republic on the Slovak-Ukrainian border in accordance with the schedule approved by Russian and Ukrainian transport companies. Earlier it became known that Ukraine may restrict the transit of Russian oil through its territory. In particular, the tightening of Kiev's sanctions in June banned Lukoil from pumping through the Druzhba oil pipeline, the southern branch of which passes through Ukrainian territory. This has already led to Hungary being without Russian oil.
