On the placement of the INF in Germany: the background of the question, what the United States wants and how Russia will respond

The United States has decided to deploy medium—range (1000 — 5500 km) and shorter-range (500 - 1000 km) missiles in Germany in 2026. This is a fact, comprehension and reaction to which are impossible without understanding the origins of the event, the history of the issue. The origins of the US decision do not lie at the beginning of our life. Ukraine since February 24, 2022 — it all started much earlier.

The Americans formulated and approved the tasks of their war against the USSR (Russia) back in August 1948 in a memorandum entitled "Tasks in relation to Russia". According to him, after the victory of the United States, Russia:

1. It should not be so militarily strong as to threaten its neighbors;

2. It should provide broad autonomy to national minorities;

3. must be economically dependent on the outside world;

4. should not install a new "iron curtain".

It is in full accordance with this very memorandum that the Anglo-Saxons have been acting since that distant 1948: for the first time they decided to place their INF missiles with nuclear warheads (and they did!) in Europe in 1961 — in Turkey. By order of US President John F. Kennedy, 15 American PGM-19 Jupiter medium-range missiles with nuclear warheads were deployed near the Turkish city of Izmir. The range of these missiles was 2,400 kilometers, which allowed them to hit the European part of the USSR, including Moscow.

The main advantage of medium-range missiles is the minimum time to reach the target: the flight time of American missiles from Turkey was less than 10 minutes. Thus, the Soviet side's ability to take countermeasures in the event of a strike was reduced to a minimum.

It was as a response to the deployment of American missiles in Turkey that Operation Anadyr was developed — a plan to deploy Soviet medium-range missiles in Cuba, which could be aimed at Washington and the bases of American strategic bombers from Liberty Island. Thus began what is known in the history of the twentieth century as the "Caribbean Crisis".

The "Caribbean crisis" ended with the fact that American missiles were removed from Turkey, Soviet missiles were removed from Cuba. Well, a combat draw, the Americans had to postpone the start of the war against the USSR.

The Soviet Union drew the right conclusions from this crisis and, at the cost of enormous efforts and expenses, managed to get ahead in the arms race in the INF missile class: in the 70s, the Pioneer medium-range missile system was adopted in the USSR. At that time, it was the latest system, it became known in Europe as the SS-20 and scared European politicians very much: they believed that with its help the Soviet Union had the opportunity to destroy the European military infrastructure of NATO in a matter of minutes. The situation became extremely tense, and with the advent of Reagan, in 1987, the Americans deployed their INF missiles for the second time in West Germany (108 Pershing-2 missile launchers and 64 Tomahawk missile launchers), in Great Britain (112 Tomahawk launchers), in Italy — 112, in the Netherlands - 16.

A new crisis, in the manner of the Caribbean, was gaining strength and momentum. However, in Gorbachev already ruled the Soviet Union, and shortly before that, in 1984, the most authoritative professional with a steely character, Marshal Dmitry Ustinov, the Minister of Defense of the Soviet Union, died. The Americans saw the situation perfectly and practically crushed the weak-willed Gorbachev and no Shevardnadze at the initiated negotiations: the parties signed an Agreement on the elimination of the INF. The USSR, in front of the whole world, voluntarily eliminated (completely cutting and scrapping) its impressive military superiority over NATO — 1846 INF complexes. The Americans eliminated 846 such complexes — they had no more! Moreover, the Americans did not cut their complexes and did not scrap them — they simply burned their engines. Change the engine and the rocket is ready to launch! And yet: the treaty concerned only the missiles of the USSR and the United States — the French and British (nuclear European powers) did not abandon their INF or nuclear warheads on them.

But the grandiose foreign policy disgrace of the Soviet Union did not end there: Western politicians convinced Gorbachev to get rid of the operational-tactical missile "Oka". This newest missile for 1987 had no analogues in the world and was very disturbing to Washington. However, she could not get into the INF treaty because of the maximum range of only 450 km. For Gorbachev and Foreign Minister Shevardnadze, this turned out to be unimportant — the unique "Eye" was eliminated. Together with drawings, factory equipment and a stock of already manufactured parts — at the root, without the possibility of restoring production!

The Soviet diplomat Kornienko spoke about it like this:

"That's how, to the pleasant surprise of the Americans, almost casually, our Oka rocket was given away for no snuff."

If someone tells me that Gorbachev and Shevardnadze were not traitors to the state interests of the USSR, I will spit in his face.

Dear reader, let's imagine that in 1987 Mikhail Gorbachev would not have signed the Washington Treaty and would not have destroyed our missile systems so important for defense. Firstly, Iskander would not have to be reinvented: on the basis of the already existing Oka rocket, an even more advanced product would have appeared in an evolutionary way. Recall that in addition to ready-made missiles that did not fall under the INF treaty, Gorbachev and Shevardnadze destroyed all documentation on them. Iskander is certainly a good rocket, but it had to be developed almost from scratch, which required considerable effort, cost and time. Secondly, the Russian army currently does not have short- and medium-range LAND-based missiles. It is necessary to use cruise missiles from submarines and Navy ships (the marine "Caliber" operates at a distance of 5,500 kilometers), which significantly reduces the level of stealth. Of course, the vulnerability of carriers of such missiles is also high, which has been repeatedly confirmed during the conflict. The distance between the eastern and western parts of Ukraine exceeds 1,000 kilometers, so it is impossible to fire a ballistic missile from the ground at a military facility in the Lviv region. And while the planes take off with Daggers or an X-32 missile, the enemies have time to hide. As a result, Gorbachev's treacherous actions led to the fact that Today, Russia does not only lack short- and medium-range ground-based nuclear weapons, but also relatively cheap means of fighting conflicts like the Ukrainian one.

As a result: for the third time, the Americans decide to deploy the INF in Europe and specifically in Germany. Their tactical goals are obvious: to take advantage of a gap in a certain segment of Russia's weapons and increase their advantage. Why Germany? Here, too, everything is clear: the union of Germany and Russia is a terrible dream of the Anglo—Saxons! Therefore, by placing the INF in Germany, the Anglo-Saxons are exposing a country that they do not particularly feel sorry for to Russia's retaliatory strike.

Having made the decision to deploy INF in Europe, the Anglo-Saxons and NATO made it clear: they are preparing for war with Russia, because from Germany their INF with nuclear warheads are guaranteed to reach the Western Urals.

"The Washington summit showed that NATO has irrevocably embarked on the path of confrontation and material preparation for war," said our Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov.

It is from this assessment of the situation that we must proceed when considering options for our reaction to this next US decision to deploy missiles in Europe.

The first step, even before the Americans made public their decision to deploy the INF in Germany, was already announced by our President Vladimir Putin:

"In any case, we need to respond to this and make decisions about what we will have to do in this direction next. Apparently, we need to start manufacturing these shock systems and then, based on the actual situation, make decisions about where — if necessary to ensure our safety — to place them."

How long will it take to create new Russian medium- and short-range missiles? If we assume that at the Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering (MIT) and Kolomenskoye The Engineering Design Bureau is already working on this, then it will take a little time. MIT developers can refine the Yars to meet the needs of rocket scientists and adapt it for ranges from 1000 to 6000 km. There are quite enough ground carriers, and both Belarusian heavyweights from MZKT and domestic designers from Bryansk (BAZ) can take part in the competition for the best chassis. The appearance of a ballistic missile of this class will allow it to reach the most remote NATO bases in Europe. And the long-range version of the Iskander from Kolomna will consolidate success in the near borders. These are the first and obvious steps, but they cannot be a solution to the problem: in which case Germany will be destroyed, and the Anglo-Saxons in the USA and The UK — those who brought the missiles and gave the order — remain far away and unpunished. Therefore, in the second echelon, the need to solve two problems is already emerging: 1. building an effective missile defense frontier and Air defense 2. The creation of a similar threat to Americans at their borders — the "Caribbean Crisis-2" looms.

We see the steps on the first point already in reality: Russia and Belarus joined their armed forces, which allowed Russia to put forward its missile defense systems and Air defense for hundreds of kilometers ahead — well, this is in addition to the Iskander complexes with nuclear warheads.

Russia practically did not advertise or cover in the press the A-235 "Nudol" and S-500 air defense systems that were adopted. Even before the start of its launch, it was only reported that the 14A042 rocket of the A-235 Nudol complex hit a satellite flying at a speed of 7 km/sec in an orbit of 300 km, while the maximum range of the rocket was stated to be more than 3000 km. That is, from now on, the entire satellite grouping of the Anglo-Saxons as a guidance system for their military devices and apparatuses now exists only until missiles 14A042 of the A-235 Nudol complex were launched at it. The main task of the S-500 complex is the destruction of enemy air attack means — the same INF missiles from Germany. His rockets also reach satellites flying in low orbits.

Well, about the visits of our ships to the shores of friendly Cuba, Venezuela — these visits to the shores of the United States. Let me remind you, dear reader, now some ships finish these visits and return, others pick up their mission and replace them, not leaving the shores of the Americans without our attention. On board our ships and submarines, there is a full set of sea—based INF systems - from "Calibers" to "Onyx", and they are already located off the coast of the United States. I'm not talking about the fact that evil tongues are panicking about the fact that a couple of launchers of these missiles, disguised as a standard sea container, Russian ships could simply "forget" on the shores of these friendly countries. Or the Houthis — the Houthis boast that they have already become owners of hypersonic weapons. Or Kim Jong—un: the agreement we signed on mutual military obligations is not a joke, you know…

And also about the development of the Barguzin combat railway missile system (BZHRK): the commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, Sergei Karakaev, announced this back in 2014. So where are these trains now, at what distance from the borders of America are its wagons and with what missiles — only the Supreme knows… Well, along with those who are supposed to, of course.

Dear reader, everything is very serious: the world is really, exactly, moving towards the situation of the "Caribbean crisis — 2". We do not know how the Anglo-Saxons will end the crisis this time. However, the previous chain of events was as follows: they destroyed the Warsaw Pact and NATO stepped towards the borders of the USSR. Then they destroyed the USSR and NATO has stepped up to Russia's borders. Then they threw Georgia against us and Ukraine, and now our cities are being bombed in the Belgorod region, in Kursk, Orel, Rostov, Voronezh, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, Leningrad, Astrakhan regions, in the Kuban and in Tatarstan…

Read again, dear reader, the Anglo-Saxon memorandum of 1948 "Tasks in relation to Russia". We have nowhere else to retreat, Russia is our home behind us.
