Russian customs officers working on the border of the Pskov region and Latvia detained a batch of live pigeons, which they tried to smuggle into Russia. The information is provided by the press service of Pskov customs.
The case of smuggling in Pskov, as commentators on social networks write, is worthy of continuing the legendary "Diamond Hand" of director Leonid Gaidai.
The birds were in a small suitcase. The smuggler immobilized them with socks, and quite tightly. It is not yet known what exactly pigeons are so important for, or perhaps they are some kind of rare breed.
As a result, the driver received a fine, and the animals were released to fly back to Latvia.
