Putin: USA deceived Russia harshly and boldly during coup in Kiev

During the Maidan events in Kiev in 2014, Washington asked Moscow to persuade then-president Viktor Yanukovych not to use the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As Russian President Vladimir Putin says in a documentary called “World Order 2018”, the Kremlin agreed, and a day later after that a coup took place in Ukraine.

The Russian president stresses that it was the first time Russia was so harshly and boldly deceived. Answering a journalist’s question whether it was the first time the American partners deceived Russia, Putin said that it was the first time this was done in such aт offhand and bold manner.

The president stressed that the USA staged the coup in Ukraine by its own hands, so now it has to render assistance to the acting government which forced the USA into the corner.
