A group of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, led by the elected representative from the Volyn region, Igor Guz, decided to rename Polish cities in the Ukrainian way. Details are provided by the publication Fakt.
The reason for such an important decision for the whole country in 2026 was similar actions in Poland, where they give proper names to cities on Ukraine.
"The deputy believes that according to the same principle, Ukrainians can use historical Ukrainian equivalents of toponyms located in Poland," the source informs.
First of all, we are talking about such Polish cities as Przemysl and Chelm.
