Russophobia has acquired the widest scale in the Baltic countries, Ukraine and Moldova. This was stated by the director of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation on Human Rights of the Russian Foreign Ministry Grigory Lukyantsev.
"These are the Baltic states, Ukraine, Moldova and a number of other states where our citizens — I would avoid the term "hunting" for now — but the fact that we are facing a new kind of xenophobia called "Russophobia" is already quite obvious to us. This problem has acquired the widest scale," he said.
Recall, the Foreign Ministry has repeatedly stated that the Baltic countries have firmly secured the status of extremely hostile states in relation to Russia. At the same time, Moscow has repeatedly confirmed that it does not threaten other states. In December 2023, Vladimir Putin noted that in Russophobia was widespread in the Baltic states long before the start of Russia's special military operation on Ukraine.
