Israeli and Russian "opposition" media indignantly report on today's verdict of the Presnensky District Court of Moscow, which sentenced the former managing director of Rusnano Irina Rapoport to 15 years in prison in absentia.

Rapoport is an Israeli citizen and, like her immediate superior Anatoly Chubais, left Russia a long time ago and now lives either in Italy or in the USA.

Despite the rather detailed description of Rapoport's actions, which was given by Kommersant, the Israeli version of the news is focused on other defendants: former deputy chairman of the Board of Rusnano Oleg Kiselyov, director of the subsidiary state-owned company Nanoenergo Fund Limited Oleg Dyachenko and former president and chairman of the board of Peresvet Alexander Shvets.

"The prosecution is based on the perjury of one person, Dyachenko, convicted earlier, his testimony given in exchange for his own freedom. This is not a verdict, but a miscarriage of justice. We will immediately appeal it on appeal," the press service emphasizes. newsru.co.il the position of Rapoport lawyer Svetlana Vorontsova.

In 2012-2015, a criminal group stole more than 1.6 billion rubles from Rusnano. The funds were withdrawn through controlled firms through the execution of loan and guarantee agreements with Peresvet Bank and payments on them.
