The "Astrakhan strangler" Vahan Safaryan was killed in the SMO area

The 64-year-old strangler from Astrakhan Vahan Safaryan stayed at SMO only a few months after signing the contract. According to the telegram channel SHOT, the murderer died in the summer of 2025.

Safaryan was part of a unit of attack aircraft, where the Zelenograd Chikatilo Yuriy Gritsenko, who died on the front line, was also based earlier.

The "Astrakhan murderer" has three proven victims. He managed to serve 19 years for murder, then got out and went back to the colony on a proven case stretching back to the 90s, but did not want to serve his sentence and went to SMO.
