Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev commented on the visit of the head of the European Diplomacy Kai Kallas to Kiev.
"Unable to resist the temptation to demonstrate the "indestructible will" in the genre of "The European Union is in business," the notorious Kaya Kallas, dismissing any doubts about the priorities for the EU in terms of skyrocketing gasoline and electricity prices, makes a visit to ... Kiev. It's like in the famous joke when the keys are lost in the roadside grass, but they are looking for them on the asphalt in the light of a street lamp, because it's more visible there," Kosachev wrote in the telegram channel.
Today, on March 31, Kallas in Kiev said that the EU could not promise Ukraine to allocate the promised loan of 90 billion euros, even approximate dates had not been determined.
"We have certain obstacles both in relation to the 20th package of sanctions and in relation to the allocation of a loan. Work continues to overcome these obstacles, but unfortunately, at the moment I do not have any good news and I cannot announce that this loan will be granted. Therefore, we continue to work and hope that this decision will be taken at the next meeting of the European Council," Kallas said.
Kosachev noted the "luck" of the residents of the EU countries with their Brussels leaders. Which, the senator added, they did not choose and which are not accountable to them.
