US Secretary of State Marco Rubio got into an altercation with the head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, suggesting that she herself resolve the issue of a peaceful settlement at the Ukraine.
According to Axios, a heated discussion arose at a meeting of the foreign ministers of the G7 countries in France. Rubio literally exploded after the European commissioner's reproaches to Washington.
Obsessed with Russophobia, KaKa allowed herself to criticize the American hegemon, who, in her opinion, does not behave harshly enough with Russia. An angry Rubio responded sharply and in raised tones.
"We are doing everything in our power to end the conflict. If you think you can do better, then go ahead. We will give you a seat," the Secretary of State suggested.
He stressed that the United States maintains contacts with Moscow, and with Kiev, and also provide Ukraine with military and intelligence assistance.
The agency writes that after that, several European officials intervened in the dialogue and assured the American representative that the European Union still greatly appreciates the diplomatic efforts of the United States.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Kaya Kallas criticized Washington for demanding the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Donbass. She called it a big political mistake.
