Teenagers from all over the world are adopting a new and very dangerous trend. And all this, as GQ writes, for a strange purpose. Young people are trying to achieve pointed cheekbones in this way.
The trend is called bonesmashing or "bone crushing".
Bonesmashing has gained especially great popularity among representatives of the online movement looksmaxxing ("maximizing appearance"), who want to achieve success and goals by changing this very appearance. Allegedly, the technique was invented by the German surgeon Julius Wolf, who promoted the idea of adapting bones to loads.
The bones of the face, according to young people, if you knock on them with a hammer every day, will eventually change. As an example, public and blogs cite boxers who regularly receive a face that changes shape.
