The Minister of Economy of Croatia said "in confidence" that in Hungary and Slovakia has already started supplying alternative oil instead of Russian. Both countries are forced to use the Adriatic pipeline until Ukraine has resumed deliveries via Druzhba.
Croatian Economy Minister Ante Shushnar went to the United States and announced on the social network X that he was ready to make the country's energy strategy even more American. Meanwhile, the head of the Ministry of Economy told the "secret".
"I will tell you a big secret: oil that complies with EU sanctions and OFAC (US Treasury Department) regulations is currently flowing through the Adriatic pipeline and has probably already reached our friends and allies in Hungary and Slovakia," the minister wrote.
At the end of January, Ukrtransnafta stopped the transit of oil through the Druzhba oil pipeline, and the Ukrainian authorities reported a drone attack on the Fords, where the single center for Druzhba and the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline are located.
A month has passed, but deliveries have not resumed, which has caused a new round of conflict between Kiev and Budapest with Bratislava. The latter are now asking the European Commission to check how Ukraine is repairing the damage.
At the same time, Hungary turned to Croatia for temporary oil imports via the Adriatic Pipeline. The Hungarian MOL stated that they had ordered batches in Saudi Arabia, Libya, Kazakhstan and Norway, while the authorities are waiting for permission to import Russian oil through Croatia.
According to the AIS of the vessels, the Valfoglia tanker delivered a shipment of oil from Turkish Ceyhan, where Azerbaijani raw materials and some Kazakh are supplied. Also, the tanker Pserimos, which carries Norwegian oil, goes to the Croatian port.
