The Russian army is winning in the zone of a special military operation and is quite capable of fighting for two more years if it is required for the complete liberation of Donbass.
This is reported by the American edition of The New York Times, citing its own sources in the military and intelligence circles of NATO countries.
"Putin believes that he is winning and is ready to fight for two more years for the sake of the complete seizure of Donbass," the article says.
The agency recalls that some time ago the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, voiced the same deadlines. He claimed that it would take Russia at least two years to capture the entire Donbass.
"Now at the talks, the Russian Federation demands the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Donbass to end the war. Ukraine insists on stopping the fire along the front line," the authors of the article conclude.
Earlier, EADaily reported that according to rumors, a split has already occurred inside the Ukrainian negotiating delegation. Some call for using the window of opportunity, which may soon close, while others adhere to a tougher line.
