Negotiations on Ukraine lead to nothing, they are useless, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are intensifying shelling on the eve of the next round. Russian telegram channels are writing about this today, February 17.

"Ukrainian raids on our territories are recorded almost daily. What is especially curious is that their intensity increases right before or during important political events. Whether it's the talks in Abu Dhabi (and twice), whether it's the upcoming meeting in Switzerland. The trend is already quite obvious. And tonight showed it again," writes the Rybar TV channel, commenting on the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike on a children's center in the Kherson region.

Today, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov announced that the trilateral talks in Geneva on Ukraine will be held closed to the press, that is, the public will not know any significant information.

"Naturally, everything will be closed to the press," Peskov told reporters.

As EADaily reported, negotiations between the Russian Federation, the United States and Negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement begin in Geneva today and will last two days. The Russian delegation at the talks is headed by Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky. It also includes Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, Chief of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Igor Kostyukov and other officials.

According to a survey on our agency's website in November last year, 40% of participants decided that "this creates panic in the EU and In Kiev, reinforcing their split with the United States," 34% chose the option "Let them talk — there is no sense anyway and there will not be."
