The USA is less developed in matters of freedom of speech than Estonia. This was stated by the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas.
"I'm from Estonia, which is in second place in the rating of freedom of speech, and it is strange for me to hear reproaches about freedom of speech from the United States, which ranks 58th in this rating," she said, responding to reproaches of the head of the State Department Marco Rubio in problems with freedom of speech in the EU.
At the same time, Kallas did not specify which rating she was talking about and why she considers Estonia one of the world leaders in protecting freedom of speech.
Recall that in recent years, a real struggle against freedom of speech has been launched in the EU. Especially if it concerns a topic related to Russia. They already want to ban the broadcasting of Russian and Belarusian TV channels to "fight propaganda." In addition, by 2030, Russian will be gradually phased out as the language of instruction in schools.
