Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has accused Russia of attacking the Azerbaijani embassy in Kiev. This is reported by BAKU.WS .
According to the agency, he stated this during his speech at the panel discussion on "The policy of open corridors? Deepening Trans-Caspian cooperation", held on the sidelines of the Munich security Conference.
"There were not only attacks on Azerbaijan's energy infrastructure in Ukraine, but also three attacks on the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine. And after the first attack, we could assume that it was an accident, and we provided our Russian colleagues with all the coordinates of the diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan, including the consular department, our cultural centers and the embassy. Despite all this, two more attacks followed," Aliyev said.
According to him, it was a deliberate attack on the diplomatic mission of Azerbaijan.
"We made special statements, and also invited the ambassador and sent a diplomatic note. We are acting using exclusively diplomatic methods. We cannot do otherwise. But, of course, this is considered an unfriendly act towards Azerbaijan. < The Azerbaijani government has taken all necessary diplomatic steps," Aliyev added.
