Europeans literally "reared up" after US President Donald Trump published his correspondence with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. However, when Macron did the same after his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, no one stood up on their hind legs, said the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov.

"The publication of correspondence — you know, it's very interesting that all Europeans literally stood on their hind legs against the background of the fact that Trump published correspondence with Macron. But when Macron published a conversation with Putin, no one stood up on their hind legs," Peskov said in a conversation with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.
