The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, did not manage to agree with Donald Trump on security guarantees for Ukraine and on the post-war economic recovery of the country. It is reported by the Financial Times newspaper, citing sources.
The parties have not completed work on the documents agreed by the representatives of the United States and Ukraine on the eve of the summit, and did not sign them, the sources said. According to the publication, Zelensky tried to convince Donald Trump to take on additional commitments to support Ukraine, but nothing came of it.
Negotiations with the US president, who left Davos after an hour-long meeting, were a setback for Zelensky, the FT emphasized.
Zelensky, meanwhile, in Davos, said that US guarantees for Ukraine would be signed after the war. "The document on US security guarantees for Ukraine is ready, Ukraine and the USA have copies. The presidents will sign it at the end of the war, and then the Congress and the Verkhovna Rada will ratify it," Zelensky said, quoted by Strana.
