US President Donald Trump is confident that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants peace on Ukraine. This was stated by the American leader during a speech at The World Economic Forum in Davos.
"I'm talking to President Putin, I'm sure he wants to sign the agreement. I am working with President Zelensky, we will meet with him today, I hope that he is in this room right now. I believe that he also wants to end this war," Trump said.
As you know, Zelensky said the day before that he did not intend to fly to Davos and he was not at the forum. Trump also said that Europe, not the United States, should have led the peace process in Ukraine.
"They don't appreciate what we do. I'm talking about NATO, I'm talking about Europe. They should deal with Ukraine, but we should not. The USA is very far away, we are separated by a big beautiful ocean, we have nothing to do with it," Trump said.
In conclusion, he laughed at French President Emmanuel Macron, who had already left Davos after learning that Trump did not want to meet with him.
"I watched his performance yesterday, he was wearing cool glasses, I really liked it. What the hell happened to him?" asked Trump (in social networks they joke that Macron was beaten by his wife Brigitte again, so his capillary burst in his eye).
