Most Finns do not approve of the Russophobic policy of President Alexander Stubb. This was stated in the social network X by Professor Tuomas Malinen of the University of Helsinki.
So he commented on the words of the Finnish president about relations with Moscow.
"Remember that Stubb has no authority to say such things. The overwhelming majority of Finns do not agree with his policy towards Russia and his belligerence," writes Malinen, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Residents of Finland are "slowly but surely" starting to speak out against Stubb's Russophobic course, despite large-scale propaganda, the professor added.
As EADaily reported, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said in a New Year's address to the nation that relations between Moscow and Helsinki have changed forever.
As reported by EADaily, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev commented on the New Year's address by President Alexander Stubb, in which he stated that Finland's relations with Russia had changed forever.
"I agree. I hope so too. I hope Russia will never repeat the mistake of the Bolsheviks of 1917. Finland will have to pay for its vile Russophobia. In fact, Finland is already paying off — while Stubb is talking, its citizens are paying their bills," Medvedev said.
