Congress of the German CSU: It's enough for Ukrainians to live on our benefits, it's time to go to the trenches

For their congress, the CSU party prepared a program document in which they propose to send Ukrainian men back.

"The party considers trips to Ukraine is "proof of the absence of a real threat." It is separately emphasized that men of military age should not stay in Germany, but are obliged to return and participate in the defense of their country," Strana reports.ua" with reference to Merkur.

"Hoffmann (chairman of the CSU in the Bundestag) wants to send Ukrainian men fit for military service back to their homeland. They must "contribute to the defense of their country." For all asylum seekers — from April 2025 — their possible assets will be used "to cover the costs of staying in Germany," the Munich edition writes.

In the same document, the CSU, which is a member of the ruling coalition, advocates that social support should be provided only to those who really need protection, and not used as a form of long-term stay in Germany at the expense of the German budget.
